EIT Climate KIC Pioneers into Practice

WHAT?

EIT Climate-KIC Pioneers into Practice is a professional mobility programme that aims at creating a community of thinkers, that together will place sustainable technologies into practice. There are no costs involved, only willingness to make a difference.

The Pioneers programme runs from May through to November and consists of a 4-6 week placement (domestic or international), bespoke transitions thinking & systems innovation mentoring delivered through a structured workshop programme and online training.

WHY?

Extensive online e-learning course on System Innovation.

Practical experience through 4-6 week engaging placements/work opportunities in 17+ European countries.

Supporting personal and organizational development through dedicated coaching and mentoring.

Systems Innovation through tangible group projects brought by real life problem owners.

Offering networking opportunities with local and international ”change agent” communities through the workshops and Climate-KIC Alumni.

WHO?

For that, there are two tracks (that we are looking only for Portuguese players):

To be a Pioneer you need:

  • To live in one of the participating locations.

  • To have a University degree related to the field of climate change and/or sustainability OR other equivalent degree in another field is desirable.

  • To have at least 2 years of working/voluntary experience in a field related to climate change and/or sustainability.

  • Possess advanced English language skills (at least B2 equivalent).

To be a Host you need to:

  • Are located within one of the eligible locations.

  • Can provide a working space and relevant supervision to work with the pioneer in defining a sustainability related work task for the placement

  • Able to host placements between September and mid-November.

  • Interested to expand their network and generate new business cases, to gain knowledge as well as a competitive advantage through hosting a pioneer.
