EWA Empowering Women in Agrifood
EWA - Empowering Women in Agrifood is an EIT Food program aimed at women from southern and eastern Europe with talent and passion for entrepreneurship in the agrifood sector. This program seeks to find innovative solutions that solve the problems faced by the food system, paying special attention to areas that have a low innovation rate or difficult access to other incubation or acceleration programs. EWA aims to:
train and facilitate the qualification of women entrepreneurs;
develope startups or creating new ones;
create links between industry, universities, new businesses and the community in general.
For 6 months, 50 women entrepreneurs from countries with moderate rates of innovation will participate in an educational program adapted to the specific challenges of women in relation to entrepreneurship.
Education: 6 months of tailor-made free online and presential trainings and access to resources to improve your skills.
Mentorship/Ongoing Support: Personalised mentoring, both online and face-to-face from experts in business, agrifood and successful entrepreneurs.
Community building: Participation in entrepreneurship and networking events with high-level stakeholders and direct access to over 100 mentors and female entrepreneurs within the agrifood ecosystem.
Access to finance: Beneficiaries will have the chance to win up to 10,000 euros per country, discover other EIT Food programmes and access investors, business angels and corporatives to take their businesses to the next level.
Candidates who have the following requirements are eligible for the program:
Candidates who have a small company (startup) with less than 2 years or less than 30,000 euros raised.
