Hospital dos Lusiadas

Hospital dos Lusiadas

1 - Global context of the challenge

Lusíadas Saúde operates in the delivery healthcare sector in Portugal with a range of hospitals and clinics across the country. Our mission is to help people live healthier lives and to help make the health system work better for everyone.
· We seek to enhance the performance of the health system and improve the overall health and well-being of the people we serve and their communities.
· We work with health care professionals and other key partners to expand access to quality health care so people get the care they need at an affordable price.
· We support the physician/patient relationship and empower people with the information, guidance and tools they need to make personal health choices and decisions.

2 - Challenge/Opportunity definition

Due to this atypical pandemic period, Lusíadas Saúde had to reconfigure his services and turn its offer more digital. The healthcare digitalization is emerging significantly and the challenge we would like to bring is increase medical digital experience. How to provide a better access and to become more effective at the diagnosis, guarantying high standards in terms of quality and customer experience.

3 - Why is it important?

We believe that this reality is the new normality. Our business sector will have to find the correct balance between the physical and digital to provide healthcare services to our customers. The hospital will not be allowed to maintain the same modus operandi that had in the past. New ways of deliver medicine will be necessary. We believe that this new way of taking care will be behind hospitals and clinics boundaries and using tech solutions.

4 - What do we want for the solution?

Increase access, better diagnosis, quality and patient safety and customer experience
