It's official! The renovations started at the BGI office!
As I usually say, when the space around me is organized, it becomes much easier to organize my life, my ideas and my work as well. And that is, in fact, reality. A study by Clutch revealed that the majority of workers (61%) value a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing work space.
The physical space in which we work, its presentation and layout go beyond practical appeal or mere decoration. Working in an attractive space is directly related to the productivity of workers, as it works as an incentive to creativity, efficiency and talent production. Studies by Harvard and Gartner found that employees who are satisfied with their work environments are 16% more productive, 18% more likely to stay and 30% more attracted to their company than competitors.
Most of us spend about 8 hours a day in the office, which equates to 2,000 hours a year. Therefore, the office functions as a second home. And if, on the one hand, we don't like to take work home, on the other hand, we don't mind taking a little bit from our home to where we work. How do we achieve this? Making the office a beautiful, cozy and comfortable space. A place where we want to go and where we like to be.
It is important to keep in mind that the office, in addition to being functional, reveals the essence of the company. This constitutes an organization's culture and identity, conveying a message about its values to workers and customers. Thus, several of our decorative elements will present inspiring and motivational phrases and words that reflect the environment experienced at BGI.
The idea is to create a functional, "clean" and minimalist space, using light colors and natural decoration items, such as plants. The blue details will dominate the space, not only because it is BGI’s colours, but because it is associated with tranquility, harmony and success.
