Who is it for?

This school is designed for professionals, students, and researchers who are interested in advancing their knowledge and skills in circularity in agrifood. Participants will have the opportunity to network with experts and peers from diverse backgrounds, and to gain practical insights on how to apply circular principles in their own work. Structure & Modules

Week 1 (Day 25 - 29 Sept):

-Welcome and Introduction to Circularity in the AgriFood Sector
-How to monetize circularity
-Circularity in agriculture
-The role of animals in a circular agrifood system

Week 2 (Day 2 - 6 Oct):

-Food supply chains and food waste
-Food waste valorization
-Get inspired
-Final assessment

Week 3 (Day 15-19 Oct):

Top-performing groups progress to an immersive week in Portugal to collaborate in-person with expert mentors in Arruda-dos-Vinhos. During this week, participants will fine-tune and further improve their solutions with guidance from experienced professionals. At the end of the week, participants present their refined solutions to a panel of experts and the winning team will be awarded a €5,000.00 prize to be utilised in mentoring services provided by the organisers. On the 19th October, participants will be invited to join the AgriFood Open Day event, to connect themselves with relevant stakeholders in the field and explore potential collaborations.
