“Authentic development includes efforts to bring about an integral improvement in the quality of human life, and this entails considering the setting in which people live their lives. These settings influence the way we think, feel and act.”
Pope Francis, Encyclical letter Laudato si’
Transportation is a crucial aspect of any large-scale event. Partilha Circular emerges as a platform that aims to provide an alternative transportation option for the Jornadas Mundiais da Juventude.
It arises from the need to facilitate affordable means of transportation for young participants, allowing them to move freely around the city of Lisbon. It is intended for volunteers who, in a peer-to-peer logic, borrow bicycles from owners for a predetermined period of time, upon agreement between both parties. Users will have the opportunity to participate in urban mobility, combining environmental sustainability with the spirit of sharing.
